Planning is a wonderful ability that God has given humanity. Our ability to plan is very important if we are expecting salvation in the time of trouble. Assuming someone told you there will be a flood in your area. What will be your preparation? You will probably think about what you are going to stand on when the flood come. To examine your planning skill, what will you stand on when Christ shall appear in the sky?
Asking if Christ will come, is not a question to consider.  He will certainly come in his glory. He will come for the separation of the goat from the sheep. There is no means of escape; we shall all face this incidence at his appearance. What you need to do is to ask yourself this question “what will I stand on when Christ shall appear or where will be my place of safety?”
Let me show you the futility of what some people are standing on;

Christ the Solid Rock

Religion
There is no religion or group whatsoever that can save any man in the last day. Religion is never from God. It is definitely the creation of the devil. You probably know the religions in the world; Christian religion, Islam, Judaism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism and all. They all are the same; they have no power to save anybody. If you observe all these religion they have something in common which is the fact that they all focus on man trying to get God. They all talk about man trying to obtain favour and mercy from a supreme being so that He will bless them and prevent them from misfortunes. The object of some is for them no to go to a place of everlasting torments. So you see their focus is on themselves. The truth is the basis of religion is selfishness; a nature of the devil. It is all about what man can get from God.

Religious people are filled with self-righteousness and are found of judging others. They depend on their good works to earn favour and mercy from God. To them the good God will definitely not punish them or that he will bless them when they act right. They want to be qualified for the favour and mercy of God—that is the biblical meaning of pride.

Luke 18:10-14
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Why would Jesus say the tax collector (they charge people than the government asked them to in those days; more like they cheat people) went home justified rather than the Pharisee (spiritual leaders in those days). Jesus just made a contrast between the judgment of God and the judgment of religious folks.

I want you to note the following with this Pharisee;
1.    He compared himself with others, and judged himself to be better base on his works.
2.    He carefully listed his “good works” and thought “I deserve to be justified by God”
3.    He covered his faults before God and unveiled his “good works”
All these things points to religious acts and these attitudes cannot please God.

The religious folks are too holy to sit with or talk with prostitutes, smokers, drinkers, atheists, adulterers and all except when they want to chide them with their “bad news”. For God sake, how can someone become saved by you telling him he is bad or that he is doing bad things? That can’t be the gospel (good news). Only love can change a man and that was what Jesus demonstrated on the cross for sinners. During the earthly work of Jesus, spiritual leaders had issues with his style; he would sit, talk and dine with sinners. A prostitute would even kissed his leg in public, and what the religious folks have to say is “I don’t think this guy is from God, why will he sit with sinners?” and Jesus gave them this answer;

Mark 2:16-17
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus was not in any way saying that the Pharisees and the scribes were righteous. Another way to put what he said is “I am here for those that need my help not those that don’t”. You see, religious folks try to meet the demands of God with their strength. They show themselves to be capable of helping themselves; hence they don’t need God to help them.

You see the plan of God for man is not to have beings that are rule observers for their selfish interest. What God want is relationship, he wants beings that will love him and honour him. It is not just about keeping rules; the primary thing is relationship with God.

No religion can lead you to God for religion is of the devil. God himself has established a way that will enable man to have relationship with him and this scripture has carefully declared it.

2 Cor 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

This is the only way anyone can have relationship with God; through Christ and Christ alone! Not through any religion. The word “reconciling” as used in that verse means “to bring one into favour”. You see that God’s way of bringing a fellow into favour with Him is not through religion or good works. It is through Jesus Christ and through Christ alone.

What determines if one will be considered a goat or a sheep at the appearing of Jesus Christ is simply if such is in relationship with God. Christ the only solid rock; every other considerations are sinking sands. They are not safe and whosoever put their trust in them will be destroyed with the world when Christ shall appear.

The word wins…
